Bump-To-Baby Sessions in Calgary, Alberta
Calgary | Airdrie | Cochrane | Chestmere | Strathmore | Southern Alberta
Okay, so here's the thing. Do you know how difficult it is to write these blogs and not sound like a broken record for every single one? LOL
If you are someone who actually takes the time to pop on and read my blogs, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank you for stopping by and reading about all of my different sessions. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to stop by on my website and look at my work - so thank you!
I meet so many amazing clients and experience so many wonderful sessions that I absolutely adore and love. With the never-ending amount of ooh-ing and ahh-ing over my model clients and their gorgeous babies, it starts to get a little difficult to put into words just how much fun I'm having and how much I adore each of these sessions and the wonderful people I get to work with.
Over the summer, my Bump To Baby Plans have definitely picked up in popularity, and it's been going exceptionally well! Clients are loving their maternity and newborn sessions, and I am loving the fact that I get to see both bump and baby, along with the amazing transformation that comes in between pregnancy and birth for these couples and their families.
Welcome, Baby Arjan! • Newborn Baby Boy
I have a funny story to tell you because every time I think about it, it brings a smile to my face and I can't help but giggle:
Arjan's session went great! He was a great little trooper and I was able to put together a wonderful gallery for his parents to choose from. So, several days after the session, his parents come for their ordering appointment to view their gallery of images and put together their order.
We are just getting started, and suddenly we hear that sound.. if you've had a newborn before, you might know what sound I'm talking about. It's that grunt in the car seat followed by that giant, wet *poot* that is a sure sign that it is time for a diaper change. No problem, we'll take a quick timeout to get this little one cleaned up.
Oh no! It was a blowout!
"It" happens - I've been there so many times with my own little ones! "No problem," I tell Mom & Dad. "I have a spare sleeper upstairs that you can take home. Let's change him out of his clothes so that he has something clean to wear on the way home."
Mom & Dad continue to tag-team through the diaper change. Diaper is off, clean-up is mid-progress...
Oh no! Round Two of #2!
Yup. That has happened to me, too. #BeenThere
Mom & Dad are apologizing profusely but I promise them it's absolutely fine, the mess can be cleaned up and that it's certainly nothing I've never experienced before both as a mom or newborn photographer (poop happens, after all.)
After about 20mins of trying to clean up this "business" (pun intended) and having a good laugh about it, we settled back into our seats and continued on with the ordering appointment.
"Just wait until we tell him about the time he pooped all over himself at the photographer's office," his Mom laughed. Just another memory to add to the memory bank if you ask me!
