I spent the weekend run down by a disgusting infection in my throat, which left me with a fever so high I couldn't even stand straight, never mind sit down to edit. And it munched up 4 days of my schedule, and has left me playing a fast-paced game of catch up. But... here I am, back in action and ready to get these wonderful galleries done and sent on their way!
Admittedly, this session is far overdue. I try hard to get everything done within a reasonable time frame, but amongst a life of 3 kids, being a stay at home mom, and life's usual tasks and whatnot, sometimes I do fall behind. But I do everything in my power to get it done, I truly do. I feel guilty when I fall so far behind. But I make it worth it, I promise. <3
Anyway, as mentioned, this session is overdue. But it is so special to this wonderful girl and her wonderful family, and I am glad I actually spent the extra time making it perfect. I am bursting with joy and excitement in delivering this gallery. I am absolutely in love with it and I love all of the fun we had. We met up a Big Hill Springs (one of my favourite spots) and went for a walk to scope out new and exciting places to shoot this wonderful grad session.
To think this girl is normally camera shy is beyond me.. she is absolutely stunning and she rocked her session as if it were a daily thing for her. In fact, she was so beautiful that in the middle of our session, a little girl stopped dead in her tracks, and truly believed she had encountered a princess in the woods and asked her mom to take a picture with her. Now... how cute is THAT. And to top it off, her lovely service dog, Doja, amped up the smiles, giggles, and love throughout the entire session. She took a little convincing to sit still, but she let her personality shine and brought out the biggest smiles in Amanda. Those two are best of buds!
I won't get into the details on how this session is so special to Amanda and her mom, for privacy reasons. But the transformation in this girl has been night and day, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for her.
Congratulations on closing a chapter, and starting a new one. Both in regards to your graduation, and your wonderful life changes. I wish you the best, Amanda, and hope you always remember to smile and choose to be happy. You have the beauty of a princess, the smile of an angel, and a heart of gold. It was an honour shooting your graduation session, you were absolutely STUNNING.
