Most people wish they didn't have to work on their birthday, but that is certainly NOT the case for me! I love my "job" so much, I will 'work' (I like to call it 'play'!) on any day!
It's kind of a big joke about how the weather is almost always terrible on my birthday. May 24, the May long weekend, and this year it was very promising to be a gorgeous week! Except for the ONE day, my birthday, that ended up being a VERY cold, windy, wet day (remember that huge wind storm that ripped through Calgary? Yep. My birthday. You're welcome.)
So what better thing to do than to snuggle a brand new little human for a very, very wonderful newborn session! Meet little Oliver, who was not only the tiniest little baby I've held in a long time, but was also an absolute pro at posing and working up the grins for the camera! I know I never have anything bad to say about my little baby clients, but that's because they're all just so perfect. I love all of their tiny, unique features! It's so amazing to see how each baby is so differently beautiful, I often enter into every newborn session thinking, "I wonder what little feature I'll fall in love with this time. Lips? Cheeks? Hair?"
This little one was lips and hair. Oh, those pouty lips and fluffy hairs! <3 I could just eat him up.
Welcome, little Oliver! I imagine you, one day, sitting at Mom's piano plucking away at the keys and filling the room with music the same way you fill the lives of those around you with your own special little tune <3
