I truly believe that family sessions are under-rated. Some do it annually, some every few years. But I think they are so important.
Here comes the cliche... they're moments in time that are forever frozen for you to come back to and revisit time and again. And even though it's sounds so cliche and you hear EVERY photographer say it over and over again, it's only because it's SO true. Your family changes constantly. Kids grow, parents age (as much as we hate to admit it) and our families grow. It's such a gift to be able to have the technology to capture these images. It's almost like a time machine, to be able to go back in time and see these little glimpses of what once was, and a treasure to be passed down for generations (if you remember to PRINT your pictures!)
The Morris Family joined me in the beautiful Edworthy Park for a beautiful little family session, and they were such a joy to photograph. And their little guy is such a photogenic little dude, I could have sat in the dirt all day capturing his little expressions and funny little antics. Although by the end I'm sure he was quite over me sticking my lens in his space to capture his big brown eyes and cute little baby fingers. But he's just oh-so-cute.. I am in love with each and every shot from this adorable and precious family session.
Here are some of my favourites from the Morris Family's day in the park!
