Yes. It's autumn.

Yes, I'm just now blogging about this Spring Family Session - oops!

But, given that my Family Session season will be closing in just a couple of weeks, I figure it's actually the perfect time to blog this session and get you thinking about booking your next Family Photoshoot for the SPRING! 

Ahh, the season of Spring. After a long, cold, Calgarian winter, it's one of the seasons we look forward to the most! The grass starts sprouting, the air gets warmer and no longer gnaws at your face, and the little blossoms fill the trees as the bird's songs find our ears once again. 

Have I set the scene yet? Good. 

One of my first family sessions of the year was this happy, springy family session. My Family Session season spans from April through to October. Once that snow melts, it's go-time for those 7 months of outdoor session wonderfulness, and this session was a wonderful way to set it off!

This was my second session with this adorable little family, but my first time working with their latest little one who joined the family. What a contrast between the two boys! One didn't stop running the moment his feet hit the ground, while the other buried his face into the safety of his mother's arm and stared at me with the biggest, bluest eyes. 

We explored the park and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on our backs as we played games and captured some adorable family photos. There was lots of screaming, and laughing, and running - in fact, there was so much going on that Mom said, "I'll be shocked if you got anything," at the end of the session. 

Well. Shocked she was. "How did you do that?!" She exclaimed as we scrolled through her gorgeous gallery of images. Truthfully, it's the busiest sessions that often make the best photos. I know that when I have to take a 5-minute breather back in my van before heading home from a session that it was a good one!

 It was a job well done and I was so happy with the outcome of this session. It was great to see this family again (and meet the youngest of the bunch) and I certainly hope that I have the chance to work with them again in the future!
