Beautiful Outdoor Family Session in Calgary, Alberta

If there was ever a poster child for days that were the PERFECT day for a Fall Family Session, this would be it. The colours were incredible, the smells were amazing, the weather was warm and, lucky for me, I had an absolutely beautiful family scheduled into my calendar for a Family Session that day.

Admittedly, I was out camping with my parents that weekend. I drove all the way back to Calgary just to shoot the session before heading back out to the mountains. And it was completely worth it!

This is the kind of session we all imagine in our heads when we think of a Fall Session. I think the only thing that was missing was the Pumpkin Spice Lattes in our hands. But the cozy weather and a couple of adorable kiddos dressed in ridiculously cute rompers and overalls were all I need that day. It was SUCH a great time!

I hope you all love these photos as much as I do - they are absolutely beautiful and Mom & Dad were SO HAPPY with how their gallery turned out!

I took Maia and her family over to one of my favourite little spots at Edworthy Park - a tiny little babbling brook that is perfect for some adorable candids (and a big grin or two!)

Painting with the Autumn Colours

The colours were absolutely incredible that day. When the colours get this vibrant and intense, I know that it will only be a matter of days before they're gone. We were lucky to catch them before the trees shed them for the season.

Family is Everything

The bond this family has with each other is beautiful - I loved the tender moments that they shared with each other while I skipped about, giddy as can be, capturing these moments while they unfolded. Now they are theirs to keep for forever.

Up, Up and Away!

As a child, I loved playing with my Dad. I loved that we were able to grab a couple of cute moments between Dad and the kiddos.

I make family sessions fun and simple. There is a lot of play involved while we explore the environment around us and take advantage of every photo opportunity that comes our way. I love getting to know the families I photograph so that when it comes to delivering the final results of their sessions they are blown away with the beauty of them and just how much their photos capture the essence of their families.

Amanda is a born and raised Calgarian who has always loved the creative side of life. With a diploma in New Media Production & Design, she originally intended to pursue a career in Graphic & Web Design. That is, until she discovered the joy in photography and learned that she could bring the same joy to other families as it brought to her. The love and passion in Newborn Photography is what ignited her passion. Wanting to continue along in serving her clients the years following, Amanda also decided to dedicate her life to Family Photography, as well.
