Winter Maternity Session | Calgary Newborn, Maternity & Family Portrait Photographer

I absolutely loved working with this beautiful couple. We met when they were pregnant with their first little baby, a boy, and was so excited when they decided to book me for their Maternity Session and, for later on, a Newborn Session.

Our session was held at the end of winter, while the snow was still present but the weather beginning to get warm again. It was still chilly, but this beautiful Mother-To-Be was amazingly tough through the entire session. We took lots of breaks in the heated washroom for her to change into a new gown and warm up a bit, and the session flowed so smoothly. 

We got so many beautiful photos that day. Mom and Dad both looked amazing and were very easily guided into different poses. 

This was my first outdoor session of the year. I tend to "hibernate" during the winter. You know spring is coming when Amanda emerges from the studio and once again begins shooting sessions outdoors - haha!

I absolutely adore the yellow gown that Momma proudly modelled for her session. At our consultation, they had mentioned how much they loved rich, golden colours like the mustards and the burnt oranges that I used during my sessions (my favourites!) and I was so thrilled - I knew I could deliver exactly what they wanted! 

It was also a beautiful way to tie the sessions together and have them reference each other in a subtle way. 

Maybe it's cliche to say, but I just love how lucky I am to capture these lifelong memories for families to enjoy over and over again. And helping them finding those creative and beautiful ways to display and enjoy their photos every day from that day forward is a huge part of what makes it so enjoyable for me, and so valuable to them. 

I am so passionate about not only capturing the moments but making sure that those moments live forever in families hands, homes and hearts. It's truly so rewarding, for myself and for them, and I am forever thankful for the friendships we form, the trust we build, and the moments we share together. :)

You can add on your Maternity Session at a special price when you book your Newborn Session with us! We have a couple of options for whatever fits your fancy and your style. 

You can choose your favourite gowns from my beautiful collection in my client closet, and I will guide you through beautiful poses that will show off your beautiful baby bump all while bringing out your confidence and glow. Family members are welcome to join in on your last photo session before baby - soak in all the excitement together!
