Calgary Baby Photographer • First Birthday Cake Smash with Kanika

This year, I have had more cake smashes than I have ever had before! Lots of babies were unable to have their newborn photo sessions done this time last year because of the Covid-19 Lockdown, so parents are making up for it this year with big and beautiful cake smash sessions! 

I absolutely loved this adorable birthday session. Little Kanika is normally quite shy of strangers, but she really loved getting into her cake and bubble bath once she warmed up to her surroundings. 

When she and her parents came back to view the photos for the first time since their session, Kanika was smiling and giggling at me (what a cute distraction!) I am so happy that she warmed up to me. 

What a dainty sweet little cake smash session. Kanika liked her cake; she wiggled and danced around to the music while she took little nibbles. But, she really loved her bubble bath! She splashed and laughed, her parents were so happy that she smiled for her session. They said she is hard to make smile, so I take that as a big compliment that she was smiley and happy throughout her session!
