Fall Family Session at Cochrane Ranch House

I have been a long time admirer of the work of Jena, a fellow photographer who has an incredible and colourful style of portrait photography. When she reached out to me for Family Portraits, I was immediately flattered and overcome with nervousness, knowing that she was so talented herself in the realm of photography. Seeing as to how we both admired each other's work, Jena was so generous as to agree to a trade for our services (my family pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous!) and we swapped our skills with each other in providing beautiful updated portraits of our families for each other.

It genuinely means so much to me that Jena and her beautiful family trusted me to work with them and create beautiful portraits of the three of them. What a wonderful and photogenic bunch! I had so much fun romping around the Cochrane Ranch House. It was a new location for me, and I had gone out to Cochrane a couple of days prior to ensure that I had a good idea of the layout of the area and mentally plan where and how I'd like the session to go.

The day was absolutely beautiful! The leaves were golden yellow. The sky was overcast (my favourite!) making for beautiful soft light and a wonderful sunset with a beautiful sky for the pictures. I couldn't stop shooting! Everywhere I turned my head, I could envision another beautiful photo. Their gallery turned out gorgeous, and reading Jena's messages as she swooned over their portraits made me so happy (and relieved, if we are being entirely honest!)

I would shoot another session with this family in a heartbeat and enjoyed shooting and editing this family session.

Thank you to Jena and her wonderful family for choosing me to capture their portraits - it truly means so much to me and I am so humbled and flattered. You were all a joy to work with and so easy to photograph, and your pictures turned out beautiful! Thank you again for the wonderful time.

Outdoor Fall Family Portraits • Calgary Family Photographer

I absolutely adore the outfits that they chose to wear for their portraits - how absolutely gorgeous! The location and weather was perfect, as well. I love the soft glow we had that evening.

A New Location • Cochrane Ranch House

I shoot primarly within the Calgary city limits but every now again I love to seize the opportunity to explore new locations. The Cochrane Ranch House is a popular spot but we found a nice quiet area to shoot our session and it was beautiful.

With Jena being a photographer herself, the pressure was on but they were so fun and easy to work with. I appreciate their trust and faith in me, and their gallery turned out perfect!

I appreciate the 'professional friendship' between Jena and I. This is honestly something I love to have with all of my clients. It makes the experience fun, stress-free and relaxed.

Nothing Beats Alberta Landscapes • Alberta Family Photographer

Alberta is truly such a beautiful place with so many types of landscapes to compliment the backgrounds of my portraits. It's really incredible that we have access to so many different types of looks and landscapes close to home.

Fun & Beautiful Family Sessions

Now Booking Summer & Fall 2022

Sessions are structured around quality time and authentic moments; this makes it fun for little ones and easy on parents. Family Sessions have an average duration of 1-hour and are typically scheduled in the evening when the light is soft and glowy. Pets are welcome, but it is appreciated to let me know in advance if you plan on bringing along your furry family member.

Take a deep breath and relax - this is fun and easy, and I do all the work! If you have any questions about the course of your session please don't hesitate to ask.
