Family & Newborn Session for a Baby Boy

I always look forward to blogging Newborn Sessions. There has been a noticeable baby boom here in Calgary (I wonder why that could possibly be... [insert sarcasm]) and I have been spoiled beyond all measures with all of the sweet newborn snuggles that I have been able to take advantage of lately. 

My mom said to me the other day, "I can tell that you've been busy. Not because you've been posting a lot on Facebook, but actually because you've been posting less than usual!" It's true - I've been very busy, which I am extremely thankful and grateful for, and amidst all of the shooting, editing, conversing with clients, and product deliveries my social media has been put a bit on the back burner. It's a one-(wo)man-show over here, and with the baby rush + Fall Family Sessions, I've been firing all cylinders to get through the busy season. 

Another friend of mine had to have a giggle at me, because for every week now I've been saying, "I slow down after this weekend." To which she responded, "Amanda, you say that every weekend!" It's true, my calendar continues to roll on with sessions galore. Whether it be maternity sessions, family sessions, or newborn sessions. But I do so with joy because I enjoy every moment of it (okay, except maybe the book-keeping and the paperwork... but who likes doing any of that, anyway?)

Onto the Newborn Session that this blog is really about...

Sweet baby Hayze (I love his name!) was such a tiny little boy with the most adorable family. His big brother is just a little bit older than him at 20 months old, so I had to use some of my best tricks to safely capture a couple of sibling photos for Mom & Dad to choose from. It was difficult to choose their favourites, but I was of little help. Even I couldn't choose a favourite because the level of cute made it impossible!

Hayze's parents loved their gallery. Hearing their reactions to their photos as we sifted through their gallery was music to my ears. My cheeks hurt from smiling! I know that these moments will mean so much to them, especially down the road as their boys grow. It is a labour of love to create these memories for clients, and while it's certainly something that a lot of time, money and effort goes into it is never something that anyone regrets. 

Regret is the only emotion that there is no solution for, and I am always so grateful for the clients who choose me to capture their memories for them because I know it will certainly be an experience they won't regret.
