Studio Maternity Session for Baby Number Two • Bump To Baby Session

Airdrie & Calgary Maternity and Newborn Photography Studio 

It wasn't that long ago at all when I had this couple come to my for their first Maternity & Newborn Sessions with their first baby boy. Their Spring Maternity Session at Baker Park in 2021 was absolutely stunning with all of the spring blossoms - it was a session I will never forget!

This time, their maternity session was during the winter so we decided to stay comfortable and warm by keeping it indoors in my studio. Especially with a toddler in tow, it just makes more sense to keep everyone happy that way rather than try to tough it out in the cold. 

Mama looked just as radiant as she did with her first, and I was so honoured for them to come back to me for baby number two! Another baby boy was on the way, and I couldn't wait to meet him. 

We did so many different looks for the session since all of my gowns are easily accessible in my client closet. There are so many different styles, colours and fits that my momma clients can pick from. It's almost like a bit of a fashion show as we go through a few different looks for a session, and families can choose their favourite images from the session later on at their ordering appointment.

Sessions can feel a little busier when a toddler is included in the photos, but with a little patience and some creativity (and letting them think it's their idea!) I am often able to get some beautiful moments and capture some great smiles! 

The biggest compliment for me with any session is a return client. It truly means so much to me when I have clients come back. It starts to turn into a special little relationship, and I get to know the families and understand the styles they like and their personalities. All of my clients have a special place in my heart, as cheesy as that may sound, I truly become so invested in them and love to make each of their experiences as special as possible for them!
