Choosing A Newborn Photographer

Newborn Photography is not a regulated industry. This means that anyone can decide to become a self-proclaimed 'newborn photographer' without being required to complete any special training or courses, even though such training exists. Responsible newborn photographers have invested in such courses and have dedicated their time to perfecting their craft, ensuring they are able to accomplish advanced poses safely without causing harm to their tiny, fragile newborn clients. It is important that parents take this into careful consideration when choosing who to hire for Newborn Photography Services. 

Too often I have scrolled through the numerous images and videos on social media and have been disappointed to see many newborns not being properly spotted or supported in advanced poses (particularly Froggy Pose). It may seem harmless, but carelessness such as this can have serious consequences should something go wrong. It is simply not worth the risk and I encourage parents and families to be diligent, be careful, and be safe.
