Good golly, that first year goes by quick!

It feels like just last week that this family was in my studio for Lorenzo's Newborn Session in my Calgary studio!

I always love seeing my little newborn clients come back as busy little one-year-olds. I am constantly amazed by how many changes happen in that first year. 

I custom-designed Lorenzo's adorable Milk & Cookies setup for his cake smash. I always put together something unique for each of my clients. Even if I have similar themes, I always do something different. None of my sessions are ever the same. I think it's special to have something just as one-of-a-kind as you are!

Sweet Lorenzo loves cars and is super speedy! He loved his cake and showed us his beautiful little baby teeth with his big and expressive grins. I just love him! 

Happy Birthday, Lorenzo! I love how you snuggle into your parents. Their love for you is so obvious and apparent, and I absolutely love working with you all. I can't wait to have you in my studio again!

First birthdays are a BIG milestone for both babies and their parents. Celebrating a first birthday with a Cake Smash Session is not only fun but creates adorable, precious memories you'll enjoy for years!

The First Taste of Cake • First Birthday Photoshoot

Each baby is different when it comes to the first taste of cake. Some don't quite know what to do with it, while others dive right in! I love capturing their adorable reactions to their first taste of the delicious, yummy cake.

Splish Splash, I Was Takin' A Bath • YYC Cake Smash Photographer

Bubble baths at the end of the session serve two purposes. The first is to clean up your cakey baby, and the second is to capture more fun as your baby splish-splashes away in the tub! Once baby has had enough, we are all done!

Studio Family Portraits • Professional Family Photographer in Airdrie, AB

I like to start the session with some family photos. It helps baby warm up to me and the studio, and gives parents a beautiful memory of the day! Grandparents love to receive these precious photos, too!

Want To Book A Cake Smash?

Everything is provided for your cake smash. All you have to bring along is yourselves and baby! 

Cake Smashes include family portraits to start, the cake smash, and a bubble bath for a variety of adorable and fun memories to pick from. 

The session fee for Cake Smashes is $300 and includes all of the decorations, outfits, and professionally-baked cake for your session. *Products and images are sold separately. Collections begin at $800. 

It is recommended that you book your Cake Smash session at least 2 months in advance. If you wish to have the photos ready in time to display at your child's first birthday party, we recommend scheduling your session for at least 2 weeks before the date of the birthday party.
