Wowee, it's been a few months since I posted a blog last! 

A ton has gone on since November 2022, including buying a house, moving, completely renovating our unfinished basement into my gorgeous new studio, and shooting many newborn, maternity and cake smash sessions once the studio was completed. 

Many of you know that I had JUST moved back in February 2022 so this was TWO big moves in one year! Phew...

While I am normally playing a big, fat game of catch-up when it comes to blogging, I definitely have my work cut out for me now considering it's been a few months, but  I am more than excited to share what I've been working on while I've been a little MIA on the blogs. If you follow Hocus Focus Photography on Instagram, you'll know I've been a busy little bee!

But anyways, onto the little star of this blog! Little Harper was one of the first newborns in my previous new studio (haha) and I had the honour of having her cake smash as one of the first cake smashes in my NEW new studio! 

I spent so many hours putting together her setup. I am absolutely obsessed with it! Mom has shown me Harper's bedroom in person at one of their ordering appointments last year, so I knew exactly how to make this cake smash perfect for Harper. 

Harper absolutely loved her cake and didn't hesitate in the slightest to dive right in! But, once she was done she made it clear that she didn't want to smash cake anymore ("It's my cake smash, and I'll cry if I want to!") After a quick little splash in the tub, our happy little session came to a close and I couldn't wait to show Mom her gallery full of adorable expressions. We both busted out laughing a couple of times while going through the gallery!
