Mama M's Studio Maternity Session 

"I have been dying to meet you!" These were the first words that came out of her mouth when this beautiful First-Time-Mom-To-Be stepped through my door for her maternity session. 

This gorgeous mama had me racing to straight to my computer immediately after our session. Her gallery turned out absolutely beautiful! She drove all the way from a little past Red Deer to come and have her maternity (and, later on, newborn session) with me and I was so obliged to work with her and her beautiful little family. 

"I can't believe that's me!" She said over again when I showed her the back of my camera. Once we started getting going during the session, I could see her start to enjoy herself and she started falling into her poses perfectly and even turning them into her own. I loved watching her confidence grow every time I showed her a photo before moving on to the next set. The session just kept getting better and better! 

Working as a creative, sometimes the hardest part is being confident in myself. Making sure that everything is perfect; that my clients are happy and well taken care of. That they are comfortable with me and trust me. That they are happy with their images. That their experiences go so smoothly that they sit back while looking at their galleries saying, "I can't believe these are mine, you made it so easy!" 

I feel like sometimes I wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to photography. Creating meaningful portraits for families is a passion of mine, but it is only a part of the journey. The emotions they feel when they think about the experience of having those moments captured play such a key role in the entire equation. 

While I am proud of the moments and experiences I provide to the clients who choose to work with me, I am also humbled by their trust by deciding to invest in me and my work to represent their most precious memories. This Bump To Baby Session will always bring a smile to my face, because it was not only a beautiful and flawless experience but I know that I will have the huge honour of seeing this beautiful family again - and that, at the end of the day, is the biggest reward I could ever ask for!
