There is just something so special about expecting your first baby. I remember when I first found out that I was pregnant with my first. Those little pink lines showed up on the test and I felt the world shrink around me. Oh my goodness! 

It was excitement. 

It was fear. 

It was "oh my gosh, I'm going to have to be responsible for a teeny, tiny, pooping, eating, crying, human being. I'm going to have to do the adultiest adulting thing ever and raise a human." 

Scary. Intriguing. Exciting. But scary. 

But as the belly grows, so does the anticipation and excitement. You kinda sorta start to figure out what to expect but at the same time, you have no idea what to expect. But you imagine meeting your baby for the first time and as that due date draws closer and closer, you can't help but get more and more excited.
